Exactly that. Nothing is printed on canvas or comes from an overseas factory. My artwork is carefully made with full attention to detail. Each piece of wood is cut, sanded, painted, sealed, hammered, and strung carefully by hand.
What do you mean by String Art?
All works of art are brought together by the use of wood as a solid foundation, galvanized nails, and thread, that is intricately wrapped around each nail to slowly bring your portrait to life. The origins of string art go back to the 19th century, originally used to teach children mathematics. Since then, the art form has evolved drastically, and today’s contemporary artists continue to innovate the use of string in endless works of art.
